Extreme Explorers
Ages 10-11
9am-3:30pm
The Extreme Explorers take adventure to a new level. Each day, campers choose from options with a range of biking challenge. On-site choices include rock climbing, high and low ropes course activities and Strong Wings farm work. Some Extremes choose short bike rides, such as the State Forest to build forts, play games or play disc golf, Russell’s Way beach to play games and swim, Tom Nevers to play large-group games, or to the Town Peer to fish. Others choose medium bike rides, such as to Polpis to kayak, or to the Cranberry Bogs to play “Camouflage.” Still others challenge themselves to go off-road biking through the Moors, or even to bike all the way to both ends of the island on the “east to west challenge” Regardless of what they choose, Extreme Explorers are sure to deepen their relationships with the island, their peers, and with themselves—and to have a lot of fun in the process!
Student to staff ratio averages 7:1.
Extremes must possess sufficient biking skills in order to participate. Off-road bikes are required.
